India gifts Nepal to China

I found this article in daily pioneer..  Since the dailypioneer site lacks permalink, i am reproducing the article in my blog..

The author has expressed the reality of the Nepal’s situation.  When we compare the news report by other english media, we could very well feel the difference, and how far those media had stooged low to compromise india’s security.

I am again insisting in my blog..  The communists are the number one enemy, and they are the worst traitors of India.  Its high time that we throw them to their ideological homeland..

India gifts Nepal to China

by Balbir K Punj

The UPA Government can now flaunt one more ‘achievement’ along with inflation, deceleration in rate of growth and industrial production, and minority appeasement. The latest addition to this list is the gift of Nepal on a platter to China. With Communist China under virtual global siege for its horrible record on human rights in Tibet, the success of armed Maoists in Nepal should come as a heart-warmer for China’s President Hu Jintao. The Indian Communists who keep the UPA in power are, of course, delighted. Mr Sitaram Yechuri has hailed the Maoist victory even as his comrades in Nepal are preparing to assume office with an anti-India agenda, including the revision of the peace and friendship treaty.

The attack that Maoists mounted on an important railway station in Bihar and looted the armoury, killing six policemen, last weekend, even as Maoists in Nepal were celebrating their electoral victory, is a straw in the political wind. Mr Yechuri is trying to mislead us by claiming that the victory of Maoists in Nepal through the ballot box will send a message to Maoists in India to give up their insurgency and take to democratic methods. In reality, it will be the other way round.

Due to the UPA’s dalliance with the Communists for retaining power — and before that with Maoists during the 2004 elections to gain power — Maoists have gained influence over the last four years. This finds expression in periodic attacks on security forces at key points along the ‘Red Corridor’ the Maoists have set up through the forested areas of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar up to India’s border with Nepal. The attack on Jhajhar railway junction on the Patna-Howrah mainline is not the first such incident.

The path the Nepal Maoists, once they are in power, will follow is already well-known. The monarchy, which has served as an anchor for Nepali society, will be dismantled. Instead of being a Hindu kingdom, which gave that country its unique identity, Nepal will be made a ’secular republic’. The ’secular’ character is likely to mean anti-Hindu (as in India) and a ‘republic’ under Maoist domination may turn out to be another Cambodia under Pol Pot or a North Korea. Not only will Nepal’s links with Indian society, culture and history be snapped, the Maoists will demand the scrapping of existing treaties with India. They will try to force India into giving more concessions — for instance, unrestricted transit of goods.

At the same time, we can expect the Maoists to cry on China’s shoulders and accuse India of denying Nepal its basic needs. China has already built a highway up to Kathmandu. We have to view the Maoist political programme in Nepal in the context of China’s own strengthening of its strategic capabilities in Tibet, the ethnic cleansing it has achieved in Lhasa and the claims Beijing has been making on Indian territories all along the Himalayas. This will provide us with an idea of the serious situation that will now arise for the security of the country in the wake of the Maoist triumph at the political level and the withering of the Nepali state as we have known it for centuries.

Apologists of the UPA are now saying that the rout of the Nepali Congress was unexpected and that Government was all along strengthening its clout in Nepal — by persuading King Gyanendra and the Maoists to end their confrontation and revive the political process. This may be true. But New Delhi’s fatal mistake was to accept the Maoist demand to end the monarchy. It was a ‘heads I win, tails you lose’ situation for Maoist leader Prachanda who managed to keep Indian influence at an arm’s length when it still mattered.

India could have helped the non-Communist political forces in Nepal to convert the absolute monarchy into constitutional monarchy. The demand of the Maoists to scrap Nepal’s Hindu identity had shocked even their allies in the interim Government. But the Maoists were able to dictate terms, partly because the setting up of the constitutional machinery was not made incumbent on disarming the insurgents.

As a result, the Maoists retained their armed strength and threatened to withdraw from the interim Government every time their non-Communist allies in the interim Government stood up to them. Holding the election while armed Maoist cadre were freely moving about amounted to making a mockery of the democratic process. But New Delhi did nothing to raise this issue with the UN and other bodies that took on the task of overseeing the fairness of the election.

For a long time our security agencies have suspected that the flow of arms to Maoists in India had a Nepal link. Now the collaboration between Maoists in India and Nepal will become an open affair. Indian Maoists will draw inspiration from Prachanda’s ’success’ and the methods used by him to achieve this success.

This is not to say that the other actors in the political drama in Nepal are innocent victims of Communist machinations. The monarchy lost much of its sheen after the mysterious palace massacre in which King Birendra and his family were killed. King Gyanendra, who subsequently assumed the throne, could not connect with the restive people of his kingdom. The mainstream Nepali politicians proved to be a querulous bunch devoid of any larger vision, leave alone the ability to implement it. Mr GP Koirala, who became Prime Minister in the interim Government, was too ill to lead his party and fight an electoral battle against Maoist leaders much younger than him.

It is surprising that India, which had a stake in the outcome of the Constituent Assembly election, chose to turn a blind eye to these developments. It has now paid the price, both for its inaction and lack of imagination in its Nepal policy. Surprisingly, the Government showed great alacrity in persuading the King to climb down in 2006.

Some people in India are now hopeful that once in power, the Maoist leadership will appreciate the reality of Nepal’s geographical and cultural links with India and the depth of its economy’s dependence on this country. They forget that Nepal’s politicians have mastered the art of playing the victim of ‘Big Brother’ India every time their unreasonable demands are rejected by New Delhi.

With Beijing finding an ideological brother in power in Kathmandu, what is needed in New Delhi is a Government that can be firm when required while being flexible to Nepal’s reasonable demands. But what we have is a Government that is dictated to by India’s Communists. These very Communists are also playing China’s game as is witnessed in their reaction to what is happening in Tibet.

Losing the last Hindu Kindom – where lies and democracy wins

he elections to the Nepal assembly are over, and now counting of votes began. There were lot of international observers and monitoring agencies who came there to monitor the elections. The results will be announced after 10 days.

The newspapers so far, projected as though the holy, never-wrong democracy is flourishing over the Monarch and fuedalism. The Maoists, who butchered numerous people, created lawlessness through out the country, and involved in rowdyism, totalitarian and fascist acts are now projected as those who are longing for peace.

Is there anything called Justice or righteousness here?

What is the problem with the king? He has provided stability, and security to the people of Nepal.

Are our Indic Kings feudal?

Before that, let’s see what is meant by feudalism.

As per wikipedia, feudalism is d

Feudalism, a term first used in the early modern period (17th century), in its most classic sense refers to a Medieval European political “system” comprised of a set of reciprocal legal and military obligations among the warrior nobility, revolving around the three key concepts of lords, vassals, and fiefs.

Feudalism is essentially characterised by lords, vassals and serfs. This is the characteristics of western society, where the people has to accept the authority of the kings.  Much of the lands was owned by nobles, who inturn control the people in their respective areas.

So essentially, there are few noble landlords who controlled the entire country and people, and the kings controlling these landlords.  The common people were mere slaves.

So, what was there in India?  It has been entirely different from the above.  There is no such thing called slaves.  Rather, people lived in a commune way.  Each commune was brought under a local ruler, who is responsible for the administration of the area.  Normally, the community which does agriculture is given the local administrative tasks.

Relation b/w Kings and People:

However in India, the relationship b/w kings and people were based on the concept called Dharma.  Who ever becomes the king, the people accepted him as long as he stuck to the dharma of a ruler.  So, people worshipped the rightful king as God, and the kings in turn treat his subjects with respect.

We can see this beautiful relation in Bhutan, Thailand, and Nepal.

Not only kings.  Any person, who protects the people were in turn reverred by the people.  Earlier, it was the warriors who protected people.  Later, during muslim rule and british rule, where political class lost its power, people reverred those wealthy persons who helped them in critical situations.  Many of the chettiars are once largest donors to the society.

In western society, this kind of mutual respect was absent. Any one who do not accept the king is tortured or killed.  The relation b/w people are more or less master slave.

Imposition of western model in India:

When britishers completely dominated India, the first thing they targetted was the political centre of all regions.  Most of the endowments to temples and educational institutions were unsurped, and later, the eurpoean model of polity was introduced.

Those who offer more wealth to britishers and co-operate with them are given powers whereas Indian kings gave powers to those who administer the area well.

Thus, over the 200 years of british rule, the european model of feudalism started creeping in.

Deliberate Media mis-representation:

Let’s consider the Nepal situation.  The earlier king Birendra was loved by the whole nepal people.  Later, unfortunately his whole family was massacred.  IT was alleged that king gnanendra was responsible for the events.  The people also became suspicious, and he has lost some respect among people.

Imagine.. Losing some respect itself is a sever blow to the king, and hence most of indian kings feared for people’s opinion.  This aspect is completely absent in western monarchy.  Another factor which shows us that indian kings were not Feudal.

Ok..  But, the usual business continued. King did his duty, and the people did not have much problem from him.

This is the reason, why there was no opposition from the people to Gnanendra.

The maoist atrocities:

It was the maoist who started violence during the rule of King Birendra itself.  Again, the usual artificial scenario was taken up.  They tried to project as though king is suppressing everyone.  But it falied much, as there was not much support from the people.

So, later they employed the usual tactics of revolutionaries from Che Guevara’s Guerilla Warfare book.  These are as follows.

  • establish a base in the jungle.
  • Attack all the governmental institution in the country side, so that the government could not function there.
  • Create a situation, where there is no alternative to the revolutionaries.
  • THen launch the struggle towards the urban centres, and finally capture the power.

If we see the history of maoist, this has been what happened so far.  The maoist unleashed wave of terror, so that no one dared to oppose them.  THus virtually there was no alternative to them.

However, due to India’s support to the king, and people’s acceptance of the king, the maoist could not make any inroads in to the urban centres much.

Role of Church:

Maoist leader is a christian.  And its obvious, that the international missionaries has been behind the recent hijack of the monarch.  They had been attempting for conversion programmes for many years, but the king
had kept them away. So there is a need to overthrow him, to continue their cultural genocide.

Role of India:

Traditionally, India has been the supporter of the king, as the king is culutrally more close to india.  But, the last government being virtually hijacked by madam antonio maino, alias sonia gandhi, there was no one to deal with any crisis that india faced.  The PM being a dummy role, and with real power existing with non-acting, incapable sonia gandhi,  the situations in nepal has been deliberately left to degrade.

One factor is the communists locking the government.

Another factor is the fact that sonia gandhi is a catholic christian.  She has no other option, except to support the missionaries in overthrowing the king.

Role of China:

Its an open secret that china is behind the maoists.  But, they also seem to be cautious in dealing with them, as they also supported the king earlier.  It seems the are playing double game earlier to keep nepal in check, and now openly sided with the maoists.

Why should Monarchy be abolished?

No one seems to ask this question.  With most medias under western control and maoists control, there was deliberate unreasonable propoganda against the king.  Even BBC is believed to have included in this propoganda.

Without ever reasoning properly, they started putting news like “Nepal is geared up for secular republic” ..  No proofs or no representation of people’s voices in these newspapers..  But, they tried to project as if the people are welcoming the change and against the king.

Particularly, no one ever asked the question “Why not nepal be Hindu state?” when the 95% of its people are Hindus.  No press seems to ask, or let the hindu people’s voice be represented.

The reason is that the secularism has been deliberately thrust upon Nepal, to aid christian conversion.

The behaviour of Maoists:

If we see at the behaviour of Maoists, they have been virtually representing totalitarian regime.  Prachanda is worse than stalin.  There is no alternate views allowed.

The youth communist league has unleashed violence against every opponens that nepal PM koirala termed them as Youth Criminalist league.

Why should the international community support such criminal organisation.

Shouldnt Prachanda be put behind international court for organising mass murders on the Nepal people?

Hijacking of Democracy:

This democracy is the most comedy ever happened in Nepal.  The royalists are deliberately suppressed by the maoist.  They had already suppressed all emerging leaders in the country side, which is their strong hold.  With money from china pumped, they had established their safe base.

Till the date of election, violence continued.  Former killers from maoist side now standing elections.

The international media, hides the fact that peaceful nepal has been shattered by maoist, and in turn, hail them as heroes who had enough heart to change themselves to peaceful path.

Once again, the business of peace and democracy is staged to suit vested interests of some international lobby.

Indias self-inflicted foolishness:

The church is openly working for its selfish interests.  The maoist for their selfish needs.  The america, the britain, pakistan and china, all are playing their role to secure a place to contain india.

But, India remote controlled by inactive antonia maino , seems to be voluntarily letting its neighbour to get in to paralysis.  A nation strongly affiliated to india culturally, is not going in to the hands of those people, who are dead against india, and Hinduism.

Its hightime that we save india first from this foreign lady, and then from the maoists.  The need of the hour is our indian learned men, to realise this utter dangers.

Statements made by our ministers over food crisis

Update:

Sukumar has given the relevant link in his comment which contained the exact interview given by our commerce minister kamal nath. It was very sensible, and DNA seems to have quoted out of context, his statements.

I dont have any sources to verify sharad pawars statements.

————————————————

I havent read any other news as foolish as this .

http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1158662

Our Honourable commerce minister Kamal Nath says, Poor people are eating more and hence this is challenge..

First of all, what he said itself is wrong.. If the poors are eating more, why do the poor farmers commit suicide daily?

The truth is that the riches are consuming ( indeed wasting) more food than poor. Secondly, the number of middle class people increased a lot.

Even according to commerce minister’s statement, what does he expect the poor to do? Should they again restrict themselves to one meals per day?

And our sharadpawar has discovered “South indians eating chapati leads to wheat scarcity” .. And he is our agricultural minister.. lets again pity on ourselves..

The fact is that there is acute shortage of rice in south india, and that food crisis is national, whether wheat or rice. The minister who has to find solutions for these problems are busy in hosting functions for our cricket team..

What is the solution?
Its a plain logic that when there is food scarcity, we need to increase production. To increase production, we need to do two things. Increase productivity, and increase agricultural area..

Unfortunately, our government is going in the opposite way. On one side, they are driving the farming community out of their profession to other jobs. The agricultural labourers are also driven away from farming.

On the other side, the agricultural lands are being snatched over for industrial projects.. The recent singur incident proves it all.. Thousands of people who lived peacefully by cultivating throughout the year, are now made landless. A Car factory cannot provide food to the people.

And our another minister Dasmunshi says “Increasing agricultural area cannot increase food production..”

A nation, which ignores its agriculture, is destined to destruction. And i am afraid that we are heading towards that end.

For everything, our media (ofcourse, foreign controlled), always point us towards US.. and our great mastermind Finacnce minister says “In US only 1% does farming.. so they are developed”..

Today, they have three times less population and three times more area than us.. They can scale up their agricultural lands and increase production.. That cannot apply to india. We need to preserve every inch of our farm land..

But unfortunately, we are losing everything needed for agriculture. Man power, skills, social infrastructure, water, and atlast the farmland itself.

Today, most of the youngsters from agricultural family had moved out of that profession.. and today, only the old generations are doing agriculture. and over the coming years, when they get aged, we will be left with none in farming..

For all these years, right from that idiotic nehru, we have ignored our strengths and copied the western model.. and this self destruction of ourselves is showing results today..

We are heading a severe crisis ahead..

Who Controls Indian Media..

I do not have any authentic proofs for these info.  Since most of the ownership of media’s are not exposed, its difficult for the people to find them..

The only way we can judge is from the way they report news.   In that sense, i feel, the below details are correct.
